Innovation in the Classroom
Take a look inside my classroom and explore hands-on projects that bring learning to life! These real classroom experiences offer practical ideas for integrating computer science, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies across subject areas. Through designing, building, and problem-solving, students strengthen their academic understanding, develop essential life skills, and learn to create and use technology responsibly. I hope these projects inspire you to explore new possibilities and adapt ideas that work for your own students and classroom.

In this hands-on lesson, students use Google Teachable Machine to build and train an AI model that classifies linear graphs based on their slopes. By creating and testing their own AI-powered artifact, students deepen their understanding of slope while learning how AI models are trained, make predictions, and sometimes produce errors.
In this hands-on lesson, students use Scratch to design and program an interactive chatbot that can support vocabulary practice, question-and-answer activities, or content review in any subject area. Through creating their own chatbot, students develop computational thinking, problem-solving, programming, and communication skills while exploring how rule-based chatbots work.

After learning about AI and its foundational concepts, students explore career descriptions on the O*NET website to understand different professions, job responsibilities, and required skills. They then investigate how AI is transforming their chosen careers, examine its potential benefits and challenges, and reflect on the skills needed to prepare for the future workforce.
